Furnace and Air Conditioner Replacement Pricing

Is it time to replace your heating & cooling system? How do you choose the right furnace or the right installer? We understand this decision can be daunting, and we've done everything we can to make the process simple. With a quality heating and air conditioning system lasting 15-20 years, it is worth the effort to find the right system installed by the right company. A wise investment now will make your home comfortable and efficient for years to come.

Shopping for a new heating and cooling system has become more complicated with new technology, more difficult installation requirements, efficiency ratings and operating cost, energy rebates, factory rebates, tax credits, warranties, etc. These are very real factors that will affect your Total Cost (initial investment + repairs + energy usage).

Be aware that some contractors are using a variety of marketing schemes to get the phones to ring. Common sense tells us offers such as a free unit, matching rebates, matching tax credits, trade-ins, or free gas cards are just sales gimmicks. Their cost is always hidden in the price. We all want to save money when making a major purchase but shell games are not helpful.

Old furnaces and air conditioners tend to break at the worst times. To help our customers with this unexpected expense, we've established a relationship with Wells Fargo. Financing is provided with approved credit by Wells Fargo Financial National Bank, an Equal Housing Lender. Click here to apply.
Specific financing terms vary throughout the year with factory promotions. Be sure to ask your comfort consultant for details.

The Watkins Way:

Design by an experienced technician - Many heating companies send out a high-pressure salesman with more training on "overcoming price objections" than on solving comfort and airflow problems. Our people have the experience needed to identify and solve complex comfort issues.

Open-book pricing – You can look at our pricebook. Our pricing is standardized; all the options are laid on the table for you to choose. When we run a sale, it's a real sale.

No pressure – You shouldn't dread an in-home estimate. We will never pressure you to spend more than you can afford or to "buy now."

We know that many homeowners like to plan ahead for major purchases. The following price examples can help with budgeting.

Heat pump pricing:

Why choose Watkins to install your home comfort system?

No shortcuts – A home comfort system is not just a furnace and an air conditioner, it's an installed system with many other components. The materials and processes we use insure quality on the entire project. A few examples that set us apart are thicker insulation on refrigerant lines, dry nitrogen purging while brazing, deep evacuation confirmed by a micron gauge, and top quality thermostats. Some companies may offer the same Trane equipment but shortcut on all the supporting components.

air conditioner vacuum pumpThorough Startup – without precise startup adjustments, your new system could be as much as 30% less efficient than advertised. Many installers in this industry are not trained on proper startup and checkout procedures. Ask for a copy of our commissioning & start-up checklist.

Support – We are not in the business of "moving boxes." We have a very competent and responsive service department standing ready to service your system for the long haul. We also carry a full line of parts to service the equipment we install.

Experience/training – In addition to our rigorous in-house training program,
our people log many hours in factory training to stay in sync with new technologies. We also maintain a vigilant quality control and continuous improvement program.

No subcontractors – Subcontractors are paid by the job so their only concern is getting in and out. Our installers are well-paid, loyal employees who are committed to doing the job right.
