HVAC services have been the family trade for three generations – Dave Watkins (grandpa) served in the Air National Guard, where he was trained in HVAC and eventually started a commercial company with his three sons.
Randy and his son David shifted their focus toward bringing incredible HVAC service to families and homeowners, and in 2001, Watkins Heating & Cooling moved into our Dayton, OH location. What began as a tiny family business has grown into a busy team of over sixty people. But you'll still see those in our Dayton office working the “Watkins Way” through compassion, integrity, and personalized customer service.

Great service
We're paying $72 per month for two home HVAC system maintenance agreements. Logan Services installed the units, and the reason we move to Watkins for our maintenance agreements is that Logan repeatedly re-scheduled the pre-paid service call to provide service to fee-for-service calls (excuse labor resource issues). The pre-paid program was sold as providing "priority service calls" at both Logan and Watkins. Became clear to us that the pre-paid service calls were just a method to fill unscheduled time. Well, we "had to" reschedule our Watkins' scheduled maintenance call because of Watkins labor issue. Oh, and by the way, I rescheduled work to accommodate Watkins service window, Watkins called just hours before to announce the "No Show".

Tony was respectful, educational, easy to talk to and patient with me as we discussed options regarding a leak in our HVAC unit. He kept our house clean and used shoe coverings consistently in our home. He was great at explaining what was going on in our unit and gave us reasonable solutions.
Nick did a fine job today. Very knowledgeable and very courteous. I’m happy that the system check out occurred on time and was notified 15 minutes ahead of his arrival.

I was in the market for a full replacement of my old furnace and air conditioning unit. Rob N. from Watkins was able to assess what I was looking for and proposed a couple options that were right in line with what hoping for. The cost came in lower than the other estimates I had received, which was great given their reputation as a top tier HVAC business. I was able to schedule the new HVAC installs in a timely fashion and the crew that actually did the install were finished in a single day (in around 7:30am and out by 4pm). Communication through the whole install process was great and Rob did a follow-up visit to ensure everything was working as expected. Would definitely recommend them for their quality and professional service at reasonable prices. Very happy with the results and feeling less stress now having a new unit and a solid company supporting it.
